Shadowrocket App Store download

Available only on the App Store. First check your account's storefront, then verify the developer, official icon and app ID.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • $2.99 one-time purchase
  • Universal app for iPhone and iPad

The US price is shown on the App Store listing; other storefronts display local currency. The app is not available in the mainland China storefront.

App Store and account region: check availability first

Shadowrocket is purchased and installed through the App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple ID determines which storefront you see. It also affects app availability, currency and payment methods. Your device's physical location, system language and App Store account region are separate settings. Changing your device language to English does not change its App Store storefront.

The app is not available in the mainland China storefront. If Shadowrocket doesn't appear in search results, first check the region for the account used with Media & Purchases, rather than trying different names. The App Store link on this page opens the US listing. Seeing the page in a browser only means the link is accessible; it doesn't guarantee that the storefront signed in on your device allows you to make a purchase.

Check your country or region

  1. Open Settings on your device and tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account. You may need to verify your account first.
  3. Tap Country/Region to see the storefront associated with your account.
  4. To review the steps for changing your region, tap Change Country or Region on this page and read the conditions shown.

The path is: Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Labels may vary slightly between system versions; follow what appears on your device. This checks the account used for App Store purchases. If it differs from the account used for other services on your device, use the details shown under Media & Purchases.

Whether you can change your region depends on Apple's checks for account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing status, payment information and other requirements. If you see a system prompt, follow it to resolve your account issues. A region change isn't guaranteed to succeed. Before proceeding, review how the change may affect your existing purchases and services.

If you've confirmed the region and app availability but still can't find Shadowrocket, use the App Store link at the top of this page to check the listing. Also review content and privacy restrictions under Screen Time, including age ratings and purchase permissions. Don't identify the app by search ranking alone; verify the product details before proceeding.

Verify the app: developer, icon and app ID

Shadowrocket may appear alongside apps with similar names, keywords, or icons in App Store search results. Before buying, open the product page and verify all three details below; a familiar-looking icon alone is not enough to confirm the app.

  1. Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the full name in the developer or seller information on the product page; don't rely on a partial name match.
  2. Official icon: A rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the official icon in this site's header. Similar-looking icons still require you to verify the developer and app ID.
  3. App ID: 932747118. The App Store link on this page ends in id932747118, an important detail for confirming the app's identity.

All three details should match. If the app title looks familiar but the developer is different, or the icon looks similar but the app ID in the product link doesn't match, it isn't the same product. Descriptions, screenshots and update history belong to a specific product page. Before relying on them, confirm that the page matches the app ID above.

Opening the product page in a browser may redirect you to the App Store on your device. After the redirect, check the app name and developer, then review the price and payment confirmation screen. The browser may show a different currency from your device's storefront. Use the current App Store listing and system payment confirmation screen as the source of truth for your purchase.

This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual. This page explains how to verify the app and make a purchase; transactions, account verification and installation take place in the App Store. Check the same product page for compatibility, Family Sharing and update history to avoid confusing details from other apps.

iPhone: purchase, install and open for the first time

On your iPhone, sign in to the App Store with your Apple ID and open the verified Shadowrocket product page. For your first purchase, check the price in your local currency and follow the system prompts to confirm. Once the purchase is complete, wait for the download and installation to finish, then open the app from your Home Screen or App Library. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and expand the compatibility details before buying to confirm your device is supported.

If the App Store button shows a cloud download icon, the current account usually has a purchase record for the app. If you expected to have bought it but still see a price, first check whether Media & Purchases is signed in with the original purchasing account, then review your purchase history. Owning the device doesn't mean every Apple service on it uses the same account.

Before connecting for the first time, prepare your own configuration details

Installing the app and configuring a connection are separate but consecutive steps. After purchasing, prepare your own existing subscription link or server details. In Home, tap Add Server to enter your information, or follow the Subscribe steps to import an existing subscription. The required fields depend on the protocol; use the details from your own service. An app purchase does not include server configuration.

The first time you enable a connection, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This is a system confirmation for managing network settings. Confirm only when you've initiated the action in Shadowrocket and understand the connection being configured, then complete any device verification required. Authorization means the system can save the configuration; it doesn't guarantee the server is available or that routing rules behave as expected.

If installation is stuck on Waiting or a progress spinner, check your network connection, available storage and whether the App Store needs you to accept updated terms or resolve a payment issue. If the system displays an error, address it based on the error type. Changing Global Routing or server fields won't fix an App Store installation problem.

After opening the app for the first time: import your existing details, check Global Routing, enable the connection, then run Connectivity Test. For step-by-step instructions, read the quick-start guide. It covers using the app, not purchase accounts or where to obtain a connection service.

iPad: use the same purchase history

The iPhone and iPad versions of Shadowrocket can use the same Apple ID purchase. If you bought it on iPhone, sign in to the App Store on your iPad with the original purchasing account, find Shadowrocket under your account's purchased items and download it again. You don't need to buy the same app twice. Check the App Store listing for system requirements.

“Same account” means the account used for Media & Purchases in the App Store. If your iPad shows a price instead of a redownload option, check the account first, then look for the app in your purchased list and purchase history. If you originally bought it with another account, the current account won't gain that purchase just because both devices belong to you.

The iPad's wider screen may arrange lists, detail panes and system dialogs differently from the iPhone. Look for entry points by their interface labels, such as Home, Config and Settings, rather than relying on a button's exact screen position. The layout and available options depend on the app and device.

Keep purchase history and connection settings separate. After installing the app on your iPad, check that your existing subscriptions, server details, Config and Global Routing are set up as needed. A working connection on another device doesn't mean this device has all the right settings. Import your own details, then test the connection and rule matching separately.

Compatibility with other Apple devices

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. Check the listing for system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. Confirm compatibility on the product page for the device you plan to use; don't infer it from an installation on another device. These devices are also supported through the App Store.

New device or reinstall: restore from purchases

When you get a new device, confirm the original purchasing account before restoring the app. On the App Store, sign in with the original Apple ID, go to Account → Purchased and find Shadowrocket, then tap the redownload option. In some system versions, the app list may be under an Apps section; follow the labels shown on your account page. Once you find the original purchase, you can download the app again without paying for it a second time.

  1. On the new device, make sure Media & Purchases is signed in with the original purchasing Apple ID.
  2. Open the purchased apps list from your App Store account page and search for Shadowrocket.
  3. Verify the app, tap the redownload option and wait for installation to finish.
  4. Open the app, restore or re-import your own subscriptions, server details and configuration, then check the connection.

If Shadowrocket isn't in your purchased list, check your purchase history to confirm the account used for the transaction and the product name. Also check whether the app is hidden and whether it's still available from your current storefront. If the purchase appears in your history but the App Store isn't working as expected, follow the account or billing prompts rather than confirming another payment before you've resolved the discrepancy.

Restoring the app doesn't restore all your configuration

Reinstalling restores your ability to use the app; it doesn't necessarily restore subscription links, server settings or local Config files. Before switching devices, make sure you have a safe copy of any configuration details you need, then check what was actually imported on the new device. Subscription links and server credentials are sensitive information. Don't share them in public screenshots, comments or support questions.

If the app opens but the list is empty, first check whether you've imported your own details. If it's still empty after importing an existing subscription, check that the link is complete, the subscription is valid and the update succeeded. This is separate from completing your App Store purchase; buying the app again won't fix it.

Check the App Store listing to see whether Family Sharing is available. If it is, follow Apple's Family Sharing and purchase-sharing settings. A family member downloading the app and each device storing its own connection configuration are separate things. Purchase sharing doesn't distribute subscription links, server credentials or local configuration automatically.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. You can manage automatic updates in your device settings. To see what's changed in the current version, check the update history on the same product page. This guide doesn't list specific version numbers or update dates, which can change over time.

Price and purchase: what the one-time payment covers

Shadowrocket is a paid app with a one-time purchase. The US price is $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store listing and system payment confirmation screen for the actual amount. There's no monthly fee for the app. After purchase, you can redownload it on compatible devices using the original purchasing account.

Don't use prices in other storefronts to estimate what you'll pay. Before confirming payment, check the current storefront, currency, app name and developer. If the price or product details don't match your expectations, cancel the confirmation and check the listing before deciding whether to proceed.

The app reads configuration, establishes connections and handles traffic according to rules. A working connection still requires your own existing subscription or server details. The app purchase and any existing service's validity, data limits and availability are managed separately. If you can’t connect after buying the app, first check that your details were imported, then troubleshoot based on test results. A successful payment doesn't confirm that a connection service is working.

Likewise, a failed subscription update doesn't mean your app purchase is invalid. First identify where the problem occurs: the App Store handles purchases and installation; Shadowrocket handles configuration and connections; and the relevant service provides the contents of an existing subscription. Troubleshooting the right part of the process keeps account, installation and connection issues separate.

Handle billing questions and refund requests through Apple's purchase history and support options. Refer to the information Apple provides for applicable conditions. When asking for help, include the error message and steps that led to it, but don't share account verification details, payment information or a complete subscription link.
